When You Make A Mistake

When you make a mistake ~ The foundation of God’s word for this theme of our meditation is taken from the book of Genesis. Thus said the Lord, “The man answered, “The woman whom you placed by my side, it was she who gave me fruit from the tree, so I ate it” – Genesis 3:12.

When things go wrong, it’s easier to blame others than yourself, even though you know full well that you share the responsibility. By blaming others, we want to avoid taking responsibility for our own mistakes and omissions.

This is what Adam tried to do when God tried to take responsibility for his mistakes. He pointed to Eve and indirectly accused God of taking Eve's side (verse 12). Eve did not want to be blamed, so she pointed to the snake, but she thought the snake had tricked her (verse 13).

The practice of blaming each other continues to this day because the seeds of sin lurk in humans. We are often tempted to blame others, even for our own mistakes.

How to fix it We must take responsibility for every mistake and be ready to face the consequences. Yes, that's right. There's no other way!

Have a good day, keep the spirit, and always rely on the Lord Jesus. May the Lord Jesus bless our lives, families, work, and ministry. Amen.
